An o-ring is a round, mechanical gasket designed to be seated in a
groove and compressed
during assembly between two or more parts, creating a seal at the
interface. O-Rings are
one of the most common types of seals because they’re inexpensive,
reliable and have
simple mounting requirements. Since they are known as one of the
most important elements
of machine design, o-rings may be used in static applications,
where little range of motion is
required. O-Rings may be used in dynamic applications, like
rotating pump shafts and hydraulic
cylinder positions
The size of o-ring is determined by the inner diameter ID and the
wire diameter CS. O-ring
size calculation:
outer diameter = inner diameter + 2 x wire diameter (OD = ID + 2x
CS).

FFKM, EPDM, PU(Polyurethane, urethane), Fluorosilicone(FVMQ),
Neoprene(CR) and so on. Hardness of material can be from 40
ShoreA(Durometer) to 90 ShoreA(Durometer)

*Service Temperature
For Silicones the service temperatures are from -60 C to 225 C.
Some special types can be used in extreme
temperature up to 300 C and down to -100 C.
